Sex education in Hong Kong has always been criticized of its outdated content. NGOs have thus been devising various sex education curricula, to equip youth with knowledge to make informed choices in sexual and dating relationship. Referencing from the Participatory Sex Education in Sweden, the incorporation of participatory pedagogy into current sex education curricula might be possible ways to enhance youth’s sexual knowledge and values.
