MWYO organised an internship programme for DSE students from non-elite schools in summer 2020. A study was conducted to examine how their soft skills have progressed. We found that academically-average students can perform well in workplace, and can benefit greatly from an effective internship programme. They can understand different industries and themselves better, thus have a better idea in exploring and planning their career.

As an organiser, we shall share experiences of preparing the programmes which are of benefit to students and companies, and propose policy recommendations for developing internship in secondary schools, particularly for Secondary Six students.
